Unlike poured foundations or brick/cement-block foundations, the stones aren't very uniform, so there is a little art to replacing individual stones.Sometimes you have to repoint the mortar in between the stones.

However, I made the argument to listing agent that they should want to spend the money at the very least to simply drain the basement water out since it's still an asset that is slowly deteriorating and losing value every day that the water sits there and investors/buyers will not want to take a risk on a property with a question mark like that.

I've had substantially renovated properties (kitchens, baths, wiring etc.) appraised over a 1% RV when the one 2-3 blocks over (or on the same block) was under 1% RV.Happy hunting!
