Arrange an "open house" during the weekend, so that you can invite all the interested buyers to come see in a 2-3 hr window.

The reason for my confusion could be that I read another thread where it was the Reverse Mortgage Institution who was selling the "Owner"-Occupiers property, and the responses there suggested that was nothing out of the ordinary, since the Institution was already paying out that Owner per their reverse mortgage arrangement, and could continue to do so even if THEY sold the property to another party.

I would pay them part of mortgage (still discussing amount), keep some of the rent to pay back my initial investment with interest for fixing up the place (still discussing amount), and......I don't know.It's still in the planing stage, but they're very interested.

It is a pretty complex arrangement and a bit commitment, but a legitimate way to fund a business with retirement capital.  

I don't know at what stage of the process you and your brother are at in this process.Here are some thing to consider, when you say 50/50 is that your financial split? 

Anything other than dropping the price that you did to spark more interest perhaps staging and re-posting photos?  

If they do agree though, you guys can pretty come up with whatever arrangements you want.

Tenants pay and arrange their own delivery.

As soon as you can comfortably arrange it have the exterior door locks changed to keep others from having easy access.
