That's exactly what happened and the experience I'm gaining is like trying to drink from a pressure washer!

About 2 months ago I was in a situation that I just wanted to end, and I mean heavy drinking and all.

I was particularly drawn to the statistics on the back which stated that more than half of homeless Veterans contacted by the VA have either a drug or alcohol dependence and a majority have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness. 

I don't think I can convince myself to let savings sit in CDs at 2.5%, so I found my way to biggerpockets.com.I have been drinking knowledge from a firehose the past few weeks, from tax liens and foreclosures, to flips and rentals.

@Jonathan Codillathe other members can chime in more as this was my first time at that specific one but it was just an opportunity to network and grab drinks/food.

The first two are ones you pay for either by the meeting or annually, though your first meeting is usually free, and the last two are free to attend but of course you pay for your food/drinks.

I believe @Bob Malecki had a recent post asking the same thing and getting folks together for a few drinks or dinner.

I have dreams of starting with a small duplex, but snowballing into multiple four-units within a matter of years.I'm also interested in making contacts in the area (or anywhere) to share advice, opportunities, or even some drinks!

Anyhow, would love to meet for coffee/drinks/food/etc. anywhere in DFW.While I write this, is there a local group that meet regularly? 

I would love to find a place where several of us could quickly grab a drink or bite to eat and then jump into networking and learning from each other.
