Its easier to walk away from a problem when you have $1000 into it vs $150,0002.

Schedule a time to visit the rental and do a walk-through to ensure it is safe (no running water, temp adjusted, trash hauled out, etc.) and secure.

., if Argentines won't invest there, I don't see why Americans would.It's great to be ambitious but sometimes (if not all the time) you have to learn to walk before you start to run.Hope this helps

Something that @Don Konipol recently pointed out in another thread of mine is that successful real estate investors from all walks of life really do seem to share a unified trait: THEY LOVE REAL ESTATE.They're obsessed by it.

You sell for $95k, pay realtors, fees, closing costs, etc etc, you might walk with $85-$90k?

When I was doing diligence on our land they were a huge help, walked me through everything they would need and the types of folks I would need to speak with to get it done.

Walk the property and talk with the tenants. 

Order something from every bar, order something from every restaurant, make the waitresses work for you, tour the place- the restrooms- the kitchens- the back of the house and walk the entire outside of the building.
