I am in a little bit of a puzzle and not sure how to put the pieces together, but I'm sure there's got to be a way to make buying my first deal work.My situation is that I'm currently a college student.

R/E investing is one piece to the puzzle, but if you don't have a solid understanding of personal finance you'll only get so far.  

It is such a small piece of the puzzle, but could come back to haunt you...

It seems like there is an extra piece to this puzzle that doesn't belong.

We have the same pieces of the puzzle that Charlotte had 10-15 years ago and Denver had 10 years ago.

We can do any part or piece of that puzzle as well..It's a pretty involved process, but happy to discuss with you over the phone..

As for whether we rented below or at market rate, I will take your advice and discuss with a tax accountant experience in real estate as I want to ensure we handle that piece of the puzzle correctly.Thanks again for your time and help!

They are peices of the analytical puzzle sure but in the end they can be really more of an emotional reason for a decision.  

Another piece of the puzzle: if you are getting different insurance on the house when you turn it into a rental, and the roof really is beat, the new insurance may require you to replace the roof before they will write a policy. 

That's like trying to put a puzzle together without all the pieces.
