Is it worth to invest and learn from their program in order to start my co-hosing STR side business just to get some extra money monthly?

I would guess he feels its nobody's business, and doesn't want to disclose that the payout was more than the actual repair costs.

@Dan Groveyes, go to meetups (real estate or business) and meet people in person and build a networkbut... no offense... i don't think funding an entry fee in second position is a particularly compelling investment

@Nadia Jones Starting and running a fund is a separate business because it's something that you need to actively market for and regularly work on attracting capital to invest in. 

However, I’m increasingly excited about starting a unique stays/glamping business.

It was inspiring to hear what others have planned for their business and personal lives.

A $12k commission may actualy break down to less than minimum wage with brokerage commission splits, taxes, insurance and all expenses factored in.That's why agents are careful to make sure they are going to be paid for their work, if they want to stay in the business.

Not sure what your time restrictions are but the fastest way to financial freedom and flexibility in real estate is creating a business out of it.
