FYI - I am also a section 8 landlord, and have had no issues with my tenants (thankfully) BUT understand that trying to get an updated rental amount from the housing authority is much like pulling teeth out. 

In contrast, volatile markets experience significant price fluctuations due to economic sensitivity and high levels of speculation, leading to potential affordability issues and market corrections.

We're trying to get a basic quote, and it's like pulling teeth.  

My first suggestion is to only look out of state after you have "cut your teeth" closer to home where you can experience and learn from the process way more quickly. 

@Susan Thelen it’s likely easiest you do this in excel so you can easily modify variables and test the NPV sensitivity.

During the session, they will ask you for financial information (nothing sensitive) under the guise of seeing what type of loan you are capable of getting. 

The nuances of mortgage lending are constantly evolving and time sensitive.

As easy as this sounds, it's not simple and usually like pulling teeth.

And sensitive financial/personal information can not be disclosed, like ss#, etc.
