It's much like school too; this is accounting, the course you must have for your degree program and this is what the test will be on, if you have plans to pass, learn it and don't get side tracked.

But you can side track the architect or civil engineer by hiring a survey company directly and have this shown on the survey plot.

So, my advice, is keep to your strategy and guide the RMLO toward your goal, don't get sidetracked into some fantastic system or ploy.
