For example, if you spend $3,000 for a new stove and refrigerator for a rental unit, you may deduct the entire amount that year with Section 179.Assuming I can meet the IRC 162 threshold, is this as straight forward as it appears for owner's of residential real estate rentals?

Some of the larger expenses-Interior/Exterior Paint, Storm shutters for a few of the front large windows, added additional cabinets to one unit,  New refrigerator from Dent/Scratch store after old one died,  Laundry units that tenant pays +$50/mo for etc.

I see I made a major deficiency in purchasing my current property with the age of the key items, e.g. gas furnaces, water heaters, washer/dryers, refrigerators, stoves, plumbing, electrical, etc.
