I am paying all cash for my LTR, my STR is a lake house and for me it is doing much better than breaking even which was my goal since I keep my boat and jet skiis there and can use them when we are there doing maintenance.I can find houses for pennies on the dollar that I can fix up and get 1k / month rent.

Aircraft hangers are extremely passive .. and many are rented to very high net worth type folks who keep their car collections in them build a man cave in them.. have their million dollar motor home in them.. and of course their aircraft.I bought our hanger it was a condo project.. so we have an HOA and a ready room.. but if I look at my neighbors one is Warn winch's they have a 3 hanger set up   a Citation jet  a Beech 1900  a war bird  a L 39  single pilot jet trainer motor home car collection boats you name it..

IF you pull a HELOC on your primary and use it to buy jet skis and a vacation it's not deductible.

Totally Off grid with micro hydro,48v dc to Pure sine wave inverter(5500 watts) New Trojan Batteries (Renewable energy) Have two springs one is for drinking water and other is for water turbine.(90 gallons per minute and 175 foot of head/drop in elevation) still a project in progress as we have plans to convert into a functional micro farm with greenhouses etc producing all natural Non GMO vegetables that are ORGANIC.

When I retire I will probably be “disabled” for hearing loss after being around jet engines for 27 years and back issues from rucking....there now I’m disabled....that does not make me a better person.
