For these inter-cultural agreements to exist harmoniously it is generally not a requirement that either side needs to acquiesce to the other per se, but rather that shared respect for a minimal level of common laws/truths/norms are upheld by both parties; the clearer the better.

The more time he can dedicate to growing his wealth bucket, the faster it will grow.If he doesn't have much time or knowledge yet, a syndication for non-accredited investors is good way to learn.He could also put that capital down on a 4-plex and househack.Or find a great partner who has the experience and can put his capital to use in harmony with your friend's investing goals The other options you listed seem too risky if he doesn't have much experience.Good luck

The Architectural Control Committee shall exercise its best judgment to see that all improvements,construction, landscaping, and alterations on lands within the Properties conform to and harmonize with existing surroundings and structures.Thus, it appears I need to make the case that our house colors don't disrupt the harmony of the existing surroundings.
