I am brand new to North Carolina and to real estate investing.I am currently working over at Camp Lejeune as a military dentist. 

Anyone of you has an idea about biological dentist?

If I wanted to correctly lay shingles on a roof I wouldn't ask a dentist how to do It.

I have tons of friends who are physicians or dentists so I'd like to create a niche healthcare practice (that's the goal at least). 

I  saw a local dentist was the owner of a multiplex I saw recently for sale in my area.

This is fairly common with medical professionals (EG: dentists) who want to seperate their assets, shelter their income from taxes, and own the medical facilities they operate out of. 

@Rich Thomas, if you know the person well (i.e. family member) then typical rates are 8-10%If it is an acquaintance (friend, dentist, Dr, lawyer, etc) then 10-14%

Lets call that the :( side.2) And there is the happy side... passive income (syndications, passive partnerships ie medical/dentist offices) and passive losses (depreciation, bonus depreciation via cost segregations common in syndications).

Cant just come asking for money promising to be a good servant of their funds.Also, I'd start with people you know and have relationship with - your dentist, physician, plumber etc.
