We moved to west Michigan 5 years ago with our 4 children and absolutely love it here. 

Work currently in the accounting field and I’m a licensed CPA in the state of Ohio and West Virginia. 

I would point out that you have a higher end home here.. its not a 70k rental in the mid west were you just squirt some paint on the walls and put die on the carpet etc..

We're currently scoping out a similar duplex in Cleveland Heights and another on Cleveland's west side.

Actually out here in the west with our homeless situations that are out of control in certain areas they cause all sorts of fires.

So it can be a bit of the wild west.

. - more control with selecting properties, property management, can value add with bathrooms, updated kitchen, adding an ADU (more of West Coast thing). 

Areas that might be worth considering are Sinking Spring, Wyomissing, and the West Reading.

@Jay Garrison grand is still the solid boarder, even if your west of Homan as long as north of grand there’s solid tenants/homeowners.
