I ended up using Zinnzer Oil primer (can't remember the exact name, its in a yellowish can).

It is likely too late at this point, but for future reference, it would be much better to lose the popcorn ceilings and do a smooth skim coat or even a light texture on the drywall for the ceilings.I'm not a fan of the yellowish looking paint (although it may be nicer in person than on screen/photos) and the two colors in the bedroom don't flow well.

We painted the entire interior of the house with help from family, painted the kitchen cabinets white (it was a yellowish color) and put new chrome fixtures, new carpet except where there was title (the tile would need to go but it wasn't a top priority).

I got a nice deal on high-arc bathroom faucets in satin nickel finish so I went with those.The second bedroom complete with curtains:Unfortunately in the pictures the walls look white (or yellowish) they are really beige with white ceilings.
