Whirlpool is another super reliable brand according to Yale, of which Maytag is now a part of. :)

If you buy basic units, no frills, American companies (Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, etc) the machines will last years, repairs are simple and parts are everywhere.

We roll the dice, but we buy name brand with center agitator (we like Whirlpool).

I use "big box" store brands (GE, Whirlpool, etc). 

I just looked at Home Depot's site out of interest and they have a Whirlpool stainless steel gas stove at 34% off for $458!

After about 5 packages I can now just text my guy and he gets us either Whirlpool or Samsung packages (Fridge, Range, Dishwasher, and Microwave) for right around $2,000 including delivery and the cords.
