I met with him a few times when he was starting his first syndicated deal, was working on partnering with him and at the same time I was having serious Vertigo spells that sent me to the emergency room several times.

In the south Texas and MS your not talking just off an inch or two and a little crack your talking 6 to 12 inches or more you can get vertigo in some of those places I have been in.Good luck on your move...

Some of the floors were slanted and the windows were crooked, so much that I got vertigo walking from room to room.

Then (if your experienced) check it out thoroughly, mechanicals, plumbing, roof & roof joist sag & the proverbial foundation issues aka floor tilt or 'flooring vertigo' as my wife calls it.Repair costs add up fast.Up here if you rehab ....... any outside walls you may be required to install all new insulin in the outer walls. .... any window replacement will need to meet egress codes. ....

BRAND new home that boo boo cost 25k.framing a house where in you dropped a ball at one end and it runs out the next.. get vertigo in it. ( another builder not me LOL) but he hired cheap unlicensed framing crew.on the landlord side I have had everything you can imagine.. from suicide to destroying the house.. in one of my storage facilites we woke up one day and someone was living in the unit and had it stacked to the rafters  Hoarder ..

I ended up with long-term vertigo spells that made me go to a hospital emergency room several times because I was not getting enough sleep.Sadly, the only time I can focus on many business tasks is during the evenings when everyone else is sleeping and I get pumped up and hate to go to sleep.

In fact the kitchen floor sloped so badly it gave my wife vertigo as she walked through it.Built during the 1890's it was a foundation of stone & river rock held together by a disintegrating binding of some sort.
