Cops were threatened to be called but they were not.

I’ve seen cases where the lender filed the deed in lieu, then when the borrower threatened suit offered them a cash settlement to forgo litigation.  

This phenomenon not only poses significant risks to property owners and managers but also threatens the integrity of rental transactions.

I threatened GEG that we would go very public with this if they didn't fix the situation, and they said, "Go for it.

I post all the time about how often someone threatens to sue me.  

So, threatening that means the tenant could lose something they waited years for and is very valuable too them.

But I pay my property manager to handle it so I would be really upset and feel totally threatened if a random renter who I didn't know came knocking on my door.Yes, this is a business.
