My area is relatively low crime, but had one place that someone broke a window to get in.... probably a homeless guy looking for a place to sleep....got scared when neighbor turned light on.I put in a SimpliSafe unit... portable, easy to set up, multiple options- you can use a webcam and get alerts on your phone and future tenant can pay for full service if they want.

Sadly, both of them escalated this conflict and started creating domestic disturbances so we had to move both of them out.Assuming the upstairs family is being reasonable, I suspect no matter what you do, the people downstairs will never be happy.

I know when i travel to hotels ( which is almost every month) I check for coffee pods and will choose hotel that has them  then i bring my own pods LOL  unless its a real high end hotel and they have the ultra coffee makers  But if you have a cabin that sleeps 23 people it's much easier to just supply the drip coffee makers.
