How many rental properties do you own?

I already released him from the lease as he was near the end of it anyway but I get the sense that he wants me to pay him back for the time he was there and/or his medical bills.The other thing is he left behind some belongings behind.

Assuming when you say "$3900/mo in rental income" you mean cash flow.That means it will take you about 13 years of rental income to equal the $500k in equity you have now. 

If the house hack is renting rooms within your house; tax wise likely worse because you can only depreciate the fully rental areas (bedrooms and maybe bathrooms).

Hey Joanne, you’re definitely onto something with room rentals.. it can be an excellent strategy for offsetting a hefty mortgage and, in some cases, bringing in higher total rent than a single lease.

If you have a real estate license, are you required to be "registered" or working with a broker or can you be licensed on your own without belonging to a brokerage?

Since you already own the land, you’re saving on a significant expense that often makes mobile home rentals so attractive.

Unique pieces are great for "Flair" and individuating your property but if it fits in a suitcase and isn't fixed to the wall or floor then it will not be long for your STR.

Have you considered diversifying into rentals?
