This won't change the numbers at all, but it will correctly reflect the personal ownership of the RV.Since the RV is in our personal name, and our two LLCs use it for travel, should we treat the RV as a separate rental business (sole proprietor) and rent the RV out to our LLCs when needed for travel?

I'm not into Sub2.In MN when using the SOS "fast-file" online system to form a LLC it states, CLEARLY but often missed by people, Single member LLC's are a disregarded entity and legally held as sole proprietor for all legal purposes.

If you take title to the property as an LLC with you as the only member (and that elects to be taxed as a sole proprietor) then the property will still be reported on your joint tax return and that would be fine.When you sell you can sell as that LLC and buy as the same LLC or another disregarded LLC, or as you, or as you and your wife, or as just your wife.

You can already write off expenses like mileage and meals as a sole proprietor, which is essentially what you’re doing now.For BRRRR, keep in mind that refinancing a property owned by an LLC can be more difficult, as many lenders prefer to deal with individuals.
