If the reason is one of the three I pointed out (usually is), it should create pause on your part.

Many investors hesitate, perceiving a recession signal as a reason to pause.

landscape this year has given me the opportunity to really pause and look at my portfolios performance.   

To me, it seems a bit out of touch, especially considering they have a fund under subpoena from the commission, have paused distributions and withdrawals, and are behind on compliance items. 

BUYER BEWARE: Goodegg distributions "paused"Goodegg has stopped distributions on the offering I bought a couple of years ago, called Congaree Villas, and has not been forthcoming with revised financial projections that explain why it has done so--even though it says the property is still cash flow positive and has adequate reserves.

I would not go to any extent to call it a ponzi scheme because of a paused distribution.

If you are charging full 20 bucks it would give me pause.

Larger Syndications: When you see the syndicators achieving the larger raises that can attract the checks written by the private equity/family offices but are instead raising those funds in smaller friends and family check sizes, that would give me immediate pause.
