Don’t get me wrong I am sure I will put my money to good use in the future, but my thoughts are if my real estate portfolio can fund my lifestyle in retirement why do I even need the additional $2.4M dollars when I turn 59 ½?

Virtually all large cap ex items have a life time beyond 8 years.

I want to know any and all tips, advice, and of course down sides to this lifestyle. 

If someone get's laid off, it takes a few months before they make a big life decision on what's next.

Or should I grab plans from a local builder and work with their architect to modify the plans to more of my style?
