These types of policies are structured the opposite of a typical policy where the goal is the large death benefit amount. 

Most institutional lenders have min loan amounts around $75k. 

-Is your Adjusted gross income under $100k which would allow you to use some amount of passive losses?

Additionally, small loans like you're describing are not looked kindly upon by lenders because they're doing the same amount of work as they would on a $500k loan but for a fraction of the yield.
