What currency do you get paid in?

Investing in the US will smooth out some currency volatility if you are in it long enough. 

As world economics and geo politics have become more of a constant, this Teak investment will serve for diversification in asset class, maturity- since you don't have to harvest, currency arbitrage since main customers are China/India/Europe. 

The dollar is the currency.

US dollar will stay the dominant currency.  

China manipulates there currency and the situation to gain from such trade imbalance.

.- We have busy but well paying jobs and don't like to spend time in building sweat equity (BRRR, flip), so will take a slightly low maintenance approach and buy relatively newer properties in B class neighborhoods and use property management for day-to-day operations.Goal:- To get to $10K/month net profits with real-estate (today's currency) in 15 years when we plan to retire.

I've been working with my partner on getting a syndication going (this is not marketing myself, not looking for any more money we have more than we can deploy), and we have been focused on protecting our LP partners so our strategy is to be focused on hedging against all potential risks (project, economic, market, liquidity, currency, etc.).

When I sold my properties, the price did not increase much (though there was still a slight profit, couple with the rental I had over the years and currency gain (bought when USD was low and sold when USD was high).

How about the currency exchange rate?
