One land speculation I bought 4 acres in sonoma County CA ( wine country) in 96 for 27k it was unbuildable at the time ( could not get a septic system on it) Well city grew to us The Graton Casino comes in right across the street and we sold a few years ago for over 2 mil to a land assemblage investment company.

Fiat Crysler just announced a 2.5 billion dollar Jeep plant on the east side of Detroit (18.May.19).Greektown casino was bought for 1 billion dollars today by investors seeing the potential (23.May.19).Investors who bought in downtown Detroit in 2014 have already seen their pockets bulge 3-4 times.The believers argue that the cascades are now on to the Detroit suburbs and it's metro.And there is REAL opportunity for those seeking High Yields and Cap Growth. 

There are less restrictions in North Las Vegas and Henderson.The city is very protective of the big casino/hotel operators, and rightfully so. 

To gamble, I will go back to Venetian Casino, either “DOUBLE IT” or “LOSE IT ALL”. 

Think lakefront properties in small towns, destinations with new attractions (casinos, amusement parks)...Another idea is investing in properties suitable for accessory dwelling units to create dual-income setups, especially in cities with relaxed ADU regulations.

I live in North Georgia and a few people have said the town in general has declined since the casino was built but I figured that would draw more interest and the numbers still look pretty good.

It reminds of the people who go into the casino, and melt down at the table when bust on there last $ and start screaming at the dealer that they "should have" won that hand, gotten so-n-so's card blah-blah-blah....     

Also the Adelson family of Las Vegas Sands fame have purchased a couple of big parcels with hopes to build a giant casino/convention resort perhaps anchored by the arena for the Mavericks for which they also just purchased majority ownership from Mark Cuban.
