The poor uneducated public has been known to try to get the Agent out of the loop by trying to negotiate the sale of the property outside of the Agent.Yeap...they sure have, because the agent serves VERY LITTLE utility if a buyer knows what he or she wants and does the research on their own.In the case where they want the "chauffeur" service they use the same specious argument that was cited above....that the "seller pays the commission."

It also depends on the type of buyer - some people will expect their agent to bend over backwards, while others couldn't care less if the agent offers to chauffeur them around or not.

They had grand misconceptions, based on childhood brains not understanding how the world really works, that being a millionaire meant being Scrooge McDuck, owning a personal airplane, take frequent world-wide vacations, have chauffeurs maids and cooks, and being able to literally swim in a roomful of money.I think that what most net-worth people don't want to admit to themselves is that, yes, they are better off financially that the vast majority of Americans.

As someone who is UNLICENSED and owns a brokerage, i still see realators as glorified chauffeurs and door openers.
