I suppose that this will be two folded - one side will be difficult because for the bank this is a hazzle and they haven't really made money on your mortgage yet (plus you will need to pay a redemption fine most likely), however, on the other side they might be willing to do so because this will mean a higher second mortgage and allowing you to take on another mortgage with a third BRRRR project.

My question is two fold; 1) How have those if you that have switched from owner pays utilities to RUBS or Sub-meters informed the tenants of the changes and what advice would you have if you were to do it again.2) Do you have any recommendations as to companies that you use for either(sub-metering or RUBS)?

The problem with aluminum is two fold 1) when the ends oxidize they will be more likely to overheat, melt and possibly burn 2) it expands and contracts more than copper which can lead to gaps at the connection again causing possible arcing, overheating and possibly a fire.
