I like to be able to refridgerate my food, pick up groceries at a variety of different stops on my way around town on paved roads in a vehicle with climate control, radio, and GPS.

If it's a cold climate, a basement can be used year round.

If the area or climate is dictating only 2 months I'd get first and last month and not security.

The reality is, in this climate foreclosures are laced with liability issues for brokers and I doubt any broker is going to turn a brand new agent loose on the streets to work distressed properties.You probably aren't even aware of the issues if your background and knowledge is anchored in your real estate classes.
