I'm working with the city to figure out why I had two consecutive months of sharp jumps in water usage when nothing has changed on the tenant's end and there are no leaks.

@Kevin L.I think most tenants understand when a building is sold they can expect some changes, which usually includes rents going up.It's up to you on how you would like to handle the situation.

Depending on how long the prior owner lived there they may change very little or they could more than double.  

Plus none of us want this part of the tax law eliminated because some eager beaver IRS person keeps hearing of this "STR loophole" and decides to take steps to either change or get rid of it.
