I live in Colorado and have horses and dogs.  

My family and I are presently residing in a town near Aiken SC which has a long history as a horse-loving community.  

Perhaps that was putting the cart a bit before the horse in terms of "covered up", but in the past couple of years there has been significant growth in the student-living communities built directly around campus.

So I got right back up on the horse and got another house into contract...but that is another story. 

I've spent 30 years in Denver white water rafting, snow skiing, country dancing, hiking, camping in the mountains, riding horses, and even hunting.

Often, the owners regret it too as the tenants now have their contact info and will often bypass me to go straight to the horse's mouth when they want something  

Of course the top hits were "luxury contractors" that build horse farm mansions in the area but I explained what I was looking for and asked if they recommended anyone.

My friend has 30+ acres there with a few horses and fun gardens.

I think you're putting the cart before the horse here, unfortunately.
