@Scott Trench or whomever it is calling the shots on the forum laws are just chasing their tails with a moving goalpost of arbitrary rules that will always motivate people to try to skirt them.Why?

The law will come down on you hard for that in other places as well.I would think about how much money it is to go lead free if you are buying a new property though.

I'm not saying you can't ask for it, but in a practical sense it likely doesn't matter on most small sales.
