I'm in the middle of doing those now, the fees aren't bad, the interest rate is 5.49%   30 year fixed. 

@Alex HamdenI saw that John Cox , running for Gov of CA is using the house as an example of how California is unaffordable for middle class families today .

So seeing if on (going to work) side or (going home) is critical.Another factor is if there is a concrete median in the middle of the road.

They may skip at the end of the lease but it’s unlikely they’ll skip in the middle

Middle class family in SF = potentially long term tenants under RC = shooting yourself in foot imo.

That's an example but something in the middle ground that works for both of you.I'm a bit non-plussed with some of the large multi-family syndicators who like to talk about how they can force rents up for lower income people and in almost the same breath talk about how they help the same people with their charity...I think, like everything else there is a productive middle-ground where you can earn good returns and not force people into bad situations.

I would be equally concerned with a misspelling of my name (I have a middle name and two last names, non hyphenated,all foreign).Honestly I would hope the folks in the finance side are attentive to detail otherwise I'd assume they are in the wrong business.
