I should mention thought that I have friends that are in the same boat as you but a little farther along as they moved here about 7-8 months ago.

I'm in the exact same boat as you are @Thomas Mackay. 21 and looking to start house hacking.While not from my own experience, I've seen on other threads where people strongly recommend not getting too ahead of yourself.

@Chris Clothier in the tale I told above back in the late 80s.. if these guys I worked for had just been honest with their investors day one they could have saved their company.. not that anyone is in the same boat as them..

There was a realization that many people that went out of business 12 years ago were the custom builders and high end flippers and we didn't want to be sitting in that boat.

Mainly wondering if anyone is in a similar boat and moving forward or backing out of any deals they might have coming up.
