I had one fire loss I worked on where the insurance contractor "Kilz'ed" the entire attic, hiding charred trusses. 

So I tried to make sure it really stood out.  

I for one would only pursue a property like that if I stood to make a lot of money at the end of the fight.

Sounds easy to fix, just go find the air leaks and seal them, but not so easy since a small 1/8” gap that runs 2’ along a truss is enough to cause this problem and some areas are not accessible.

To be honest, I am not sure the Hedge Funds would have ever stood a chance here.

Then from platform 13 the voice of Guilford via Woking service calling at Surbiton, Esher, Hersham, Walton upon Thames, Waybridge, Byfleet, Newhal, West Byfleet, Woking, Woppleston, and Guilford.....this is WimbeldonI may have missed spelled a few of the stops but it has been 12 years since I stood on platform 13.

They certainly don't climb up in a mold infested attic space to see if the trusses are any good.They certainly don't look up to see if there are open permits or town violations or unpermitted work that will bust your budget.

I let them think about it for a few weeks and the stood firm on my offer of $19,500.

I assumed SFD stood for "single family dwelling". 

The deal barely worked as it stood and losing an extra $30,000-$40,000 on it killed it completely.
