In those cases you'll need to physically go to the various records rooms that constitute the land records in that area (it varies from County to County how many records rooms you'll need to visit).As for our firm, we are headquartered in California but we have a research team that covers all 3,611 recording venues in the USA.

We did get a 3500 sq ft classic at auction & then flipped it to a veteran who completely restored it, including the magnificent ceiling scrolls that were buried under a dropped drywall ceiling complete with the old gas lights of years gone by.

the more reasonable your request (like, just deposit and legal fees), the more likely they are to ignore. then it just comes down to whether they were properly served.small claims is not their favorite venue as you can imagine.
