I have heard that there are a few ways to skirt detection, for example:- Licensing and advertising one unit in a multi, but actually renting out all the units- Advertising on Craigslist rather than AirBnB/VRBO- Advertising openly but only providing the street address once payment has been madeI'm especially interested in Austin, TX but all experiences are valuable!

The detective has been working on the case and is collecting evidence to go to the state to put him back in jail.Also, I called the insurance company from the policy that he gave me and they told me that this is not a valid policy.Lesson Learned - Always call the insurance company to confirm!!!

I'm about to sign management contracts with them, have only spoken over the phone and have detected some red flags (agent didn't know what they charge for monthly pool maintenance even thought they have 100+ properties, they claim 100% occupancy (is that even possible?)
