I agree but most agents don't put in the work to make it happen or just aren't willing to learn the skills it takes.

The actual management of the property does not take up a significant amount of time (depending on the quality of tenant and property- I would suggest both being good to great) but leasing the property does take special skills that are better "contracted out."

I hear you about solving the problem yourself, but some skills from previous lines of work don't transfer for a reason and that isn't always a bad thing.

I'm not trying to insult you but if you make 1/2 the average income of an American employee then I would say you lack the skills, life experience, or capital to take on investing. 

Skills- I have worked as a leasing agent and understand property management.- I understand technology and can build and bring various technological advances to your business.- I am a business student and understand business strategy and accounting.- I work in the multi-family industry and understand current/future needs of scale and sustainability.Please reach out to me or connect with me!

I put to use many of the skills I gained building and renovating homes with my father when I was younger.

The issue is that this single property has a need for a specific skill set, my father in this particular scenario, and this same job will be outsourced in the future.

We are looking for handyman that's skilled in the areas of construction and know how to manage and be responsible for  area of drywall, painting, small plumbing, small electric, small roofing repairs and fixture installation.

You can also make local connections and learn new tips, tricks and skills from the investment groups.

It is going to take a combination of real-life experience and education to become a skilled investor.
