I’ve heard politicians are trying to make central CT the east coast Silicon Valley and the new Governor has a plan for the pension issue, so hopefully positive change is coming but I don’t think it has been comparable to Silicon Valley since the Industrial Age when Colt was making arms for the civil war, or Pratt and Whitney later on.

The authorities will check it out if someone points out some potential issue and does so in a calm, sane, respectful manner.No politician wants a fight with the NRA, not enough to add any new gun control laws and IMO, that's not the answer.

If govt makes laws that support specific private businesses, the issue again is not capitalism, but corrupt politicians and a system that allows those with more money to have more political influence (lobbying and contribution laws).Remember the other part of capitalism -- the demand.
