My father did this in Portland on two properties, for elderly people I think. 

Go check and see what others are charging.I guess I have to ask what does it offer that would make people want to stay there?

I'm just beginning but am considering a bigger commitment in the next five years or so by accessing some or even all retirement funds to buy a building (I'm sure people have thoughts on whether or not that is a good idea!).

I'm always down to chat to people about REI, especially in the Pittsburgh market.

Based off videos and research i have done lots of experienced people say the homes should be under $10k.

But I think if I can get enough people on board it could work.

The credit committee is usually made up of local people who are familiar with the market they are in.
