Turns out the the electrical company was repairing a down line and once it was restored it sent a huge surge to the electrical panel.

Dont mind no electric for little or no capital gains.  

Most don't have the time, skill, bandwidth, energy or tools to do REI themself, but they may have capital, and together we can.

I would start focusing my energy on building relationships and finding deals 

I have about 3 years of experience flipping and building houses, as well as an associates degree in a trade, about 2 years of drywall/paint experience, around 1 year of commercial/residential electric experience, and about 3 years of landscaping experience. 

I would agree the Midwest will take the longest to change types of energy.
