We had Dish, and they said after so many months of non-use, they consider your account inactive and shut off the signal - despite us still paying for it!  

I've also been shut down for some pretty bs political reasons.

@Shain Ismailovski You need to narrow it down.............shut off water at the main to the building; then go look at the meter at the sidewalk.

If so you have a leak.Then find the leak by closing shut off valves one at a time until the meter stops.99% of time it is a toilet flapper/seal, maybe a sink or shower fixture.

@Ernes Sahic while you can certainly get lists surrounding pre-forclosures, short sales, probate, Evictions, Loan Mods, Tax Sales, Divorces, Hospital Liens, Code Violations, Appointment of Substitute Trustee, mechanics liens....I mean you can even get a list of people who had their water shut off....but I don't think there's any service out there that will provide a list based on if the property is a 2-4 unit property. 

If the tenant shuts down their account the next day, that's between them and Obligo.

I nearly lost an open and shut case because of one document that was not signed.

The power and water have to be shut off.
