I have a rule , never do business with family or friends .

My company is licensed in 31 states for owner occupied loans (check my profile) and I can lend in 45 states for business purposes loans (nonQM and dscr loans).

However, I’m increasingly excited about starting a unique stays/glamping business.

Is it worth to invest and learn from their program in order to start my co-hosing STR side business just to get some extra money monthly?

@Nadia Jones Starting and running a fund is a separate business because it's something that you need to actively market for and regularly work on attracting capital to invest in. 

@Dan Groveyes, go to meetups (real estate or business) and meet people in person and build a networkbut... no offense... i don't think funding an entry fee in second position is a particularly compelling investment

This is why I have an experienced legal counsel involved early in the process. cool  kind of like companies that factor business's account receivable.
