I cause 0 problems and no one has ever rejected me in real life... up to you though, just get his info and run him through sex offender database... tell him you have other folks looking too and you will get back to him... then you can just run a search on him yourself in google i'm sure. some people just don't trust s*** I'm one of them and i don't trust anything but my 2 dogs and my wife... so yeah he could be a good dude lolEdit: With that said if it was my property I wouldn't take him.

As they say Ashley.......Opinions are like belly buttons everyone’s got oneI listened to your podcast.... well done on great successI also purchaser 10 properties in Detroit, love what I am seeing and the cashflowactually that's not true there is a gentlemen in AU that does not have a belly button.. he made international news :)this is mom and pop land lording at its finest and as long as you live work and understand these areas of low value assets it works fine when we have problems is when some one from afar thinks they can duplicate what a local can do with 2500 dollar houses or all in 30k house's this is not passive income this is income you work for.. but that said its still great there is nothing wrong with working hard for income. but to say its passive like its a mutual fund that is not the case..

As most have already said, as long as you haven't accepted them yet, you should be fine as long as your decision follows the Fair Housing Act (meaning you're declining of their application is not based on Race, Color, National Origin, Religion, Sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), Familial Status, or Disability).

Here is my process for EVERYONE.Complete a rental appProvide their last 4 paystubs (all working adults)Run credit check (this for me verifies possible rto clients)Criminal Background ChecksLandlord verifications for last 2 years(and addresses that show on credit report)Sex Offender check(know one wants that kind of drama)Plus phone interview.Im just a stickler on tenants.
