In all these meetings alot of naive people really believe in the get rich quick schemes presented by the lecturers.Look up Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University and locate a $100 9 week class at your local church and haul your husband and yourself to it.It will give you stunning information that you both can learn from but is basically a worthwhile set of classes (and you get all of the books you need with the $100).

i love the industry and love what rental income does for my wallet..but i certainly don't respect them in the least bit or think they deserve the landlord biased rights they enjoy. it's morally wrong for someone to be allowed to stay in my house if they don't pay, destroy property or disturb the peace in the residence, period. i won't give in an inch on that concept. they can sue, but they won't get a dime. they can jail me, but i won't change. they can call the police, but the police can't do anything (one tried it nine times one night). i'll just learn from it and be that much better at outsmarting the system next time.

If not then you may want to get more reserve money to help float you if it is ever needed, if you can easily get a comparable job then you still need the reserves but you can have more peace of mind that you are able to find another job if you get layed off or fired.
