All this to say, there aren’t really any middle to high end properties are the market to rent.

While to be Boston proper you are looking at some areas that are $1000/square feet you can find a lot of value in some metro areas such as Roslindale - 2 family with 5/6 beds can go for 5-600k in fair to good condition and that’s a nice middle ground location.

But your best bang for your buck is going to be with a nationwide intermediary service that has enough economies of scale to be in the middle price wise.

It's relatively close to everything and is pretty much smack dab in the middle of the areas you've visited.Each area you mentioned has different features as I'm sure you noticed when visiting.

@Brandon Sturgill  and if it goes to foreclosure sale it takes time to get your deed.I just closed one today ( got paid off) on one I bought in Ohio at court house and it took 2 months just to get the deed and most are not TRUE cash buyers like us.. so folks like that don't need you in the middle of it they will just go to the sale and bid.. ??

Further I get in the process the more I’m appreciating a middle man It definitely kept the negotiations moving forward and also the buyer agreed to pay for him and we just wrote up all the expenses in the mortgage so nothing out of the buyers pocket.

To add, the stairs go right down the middle so there are 2 similar sides with the same problem.
