We rented a large cabin there, had our wedding party stay with us, and hosted our wedding reception there.

We wanted a house, and my wife's uncle stopped me to talk about a duplex route and rich dad poor dad (he has several college and long term rentals) he really guided us but between the wedding and buying a house he thought we should wait and save more.

Unfortunately I'll be on the mainland the entire period for a friend's wedding.

Could you partner with other venue owners near by and operate it as a wedding venue.

Do a search for a 1-2 mile radius right now (Wed/Thurs night are perfect for this) and see how similar options are pricing out for a Friday thru Sunday stay.
