I wish this stuff was taught in school so people could understand it better and make better choices in who represents them.

Make sure your not buying on the wrong side of a city/school border and are using rent comparisons that might be geographically close but are really different renter markets(like buying in East Cleveland and using Cleveland Heights rents).  

The challenges associated with old school layouts are unpredictable.

Even a dual income family with both folks working low wage jobs   Eg amazon warehouses, can afford houses in safe neighborhoods with decent schools.

The suburbs will be higher taxes but generally better schools and higher income tenants.

Look at crime rates, school districts, would you live there? 

Most of these areas have great school and are still relatively affordable. 

I switched majors and started studying finance after being accepted back into school and started reading about financial literacy which of course led me to real estate.

Many of the positions only require a high school degree.

So, when I went to real estate school, I was super excited to get all of this behind the scenes insider knowledge and skills that I had been missing all these years.
