When I see an account without an actual photo or with a truncated name, I immediately give it less credibility.

A lot can be learned by reading books, watching online content, and learning as much as possible about raising and organizing money via a syndication or private fund. 

There has to be an account in the middle for repairs, renovations, etc. and you want to know how that will be disbursed and if you need a workflow between you.If you decide to do it, just start small with an asset that is as close to can't lose as possible so you can fine-tune your collective process.

The Airbnb account they presented as reference had low customer rating.

And if that's not taken into account, then it's also not an apples to apples comparison.

Can i stay at my parents house on Long Island  for some time in the spring/summer so I can service my accounts here ?

As for the way that they are living, you should be doing routine inspections and then hold them accountable.

We the people need to pull our heads out of our social media butt's, stop accepting BS, lies, antics and hate and start demanding answers, responsibility and accountability from our leaders again or were gonna reap the consequences. 

Once you have a shortlist, sign up for an account with each one and test them extensively to see how they function.
