One was a double-wide manufactured home, and one was a house that had burned to the ground.

There is a navy base, a coastguard base, and 3 major manufacturers nearby.

@Robert Obniski funny, I came across a lead a couple weeks ago for a small manufactured home in the Dells, motivated seller, but not my market and I did not feel comfortable working with them. 

I assume you had that manufactured locally? 

I want to buy a double wide manufactured home  to put on the property,and put some needed improvements , I would like to know what kind of loan I'd be looking at ....I want to get around 100,000 to pay for home and all improvements.  

That will get you a tare off with disposal and what the manufactures consider a lifetime shingle.    

As the graphic notes there was a period when house prices fell because manufacturing techniques improved enough to drive down prices independent of what land values might have been doing.I wonder how much of the recent noise in house prices relates to better information flow given the Internet.
