However, they will also look into your experience, cash on hand to do the deal, and your FICO. all these things will effect the rates and terms you'll be able to get with a lender. unfortunately, no lender will base your skin in the game based on how good the deal is.

But my skin just got a little thicker.

I would want you (the deal maker) to have financial skin in the game.

The seller's agent said "not enough skin in the game".  

Keep posting, keep learning, keep a thick skin and keep us posted...the membership will slam or support your decisions, you will like certain members' opinions one day and not the next and, in the end, you will find a few golden nuggets of information.

My partner and I do have funds to put in for our skin in the game, but honestly not much.

Local commercial lenders will entertain almost any scenario you throw at them, provided you have skin in the game, relevant experience, and it makes a great deal of sense. 

Sorry for the length of the post, I'm just trying to show you that there's more than one way to skin this cat.

If that is the case,  most hard money lenders are going to want you to have more skin in the game.  

The problem I'm having is that I want to have a good amount of "skin in the game" so that he feels comfortable.
